TOTAL COST REFERENCE

Crypto exchange fees, separated clearly

SHORT ANSWER

There is no universal percentage for every crypto exchange. Compare the destination amount shown for your exact route, its rate conditions and the source-wallet fee. Do not subtract a fee again if the quoted output already includes it.

LIVE NET ESTIMATOR

Calculate what reaches the destination wallet

Choose the exact source and destination networks, then enter an amount. The main output is the current estimated amount delivered by that route. Source-wallet gas remains separate because your wallet chooses it when broadcasting the deposit.

Quoted destination amount

Read whether it is an estimate or a conditional fixed amount.

01

The sending wallet pays its own network cost

A Bitcoin wallet selects a miner fee, an Ethereum wallet pays gas in ETH, a TRON token transfer can consume resources or TRX and a Solana token transfer needs SOL. That source fee is chosen at broadcast time and can sit outside the exchange estimate.

  • Native fee asset depends on the source blockchain.
  • Token balances do not automatically include the gas asset.
  • Wallet urgency and network demand can change the broadcast cost.

02

Executable pricing differs from a market calculator

A market calculator is not an executable exchange quote. For a fee calculation only, suppose a hypothetical 1,000 USDT amount has one illustrative fee of 0.38% and no other deductions: 1,000 × 0.0038 = 3.80 USDT, leaving 996.20 USDT after that fee. This is neither an Orbiswap tariff nor a live conversion rate. An actual quote depends on the assets, networks, amount and rate type.

  • Compare quotes at the same moment and for the same amount.
  • Keep source and payout networks identical across comparisons.
  • Compare the displayed output and avoid counting an included fee twice.

03

The payout network changes the delivered result

Delivering ETH on Ethereum is not the same route as delivering ETH on Base. Network cost, liquidity and wallet usefulness can differ. A route that appears cheaper but pays to an unsupported network creates a recovery problem rather than a saving.

  • Confirm destination support before optimizing cost.
  • Stablecoin networks can use different fee assets and contracts.
  • A later bridge or transfer can add another cost not shown in the swap.

04

Fixed-rate protection can have its own conditions

Where a fixed rate applies, its quoted amount remains subject to the payment instructions and applicable exchange conditions. Quote expiry controls order creation; it does not by itself define the deposit window. Pricing can differ from a floating estimate. A late, partial or incorrect deposit can require a new calculation or a refund assessment; the fixed label does not promise completion in every circumstance.

  • Check the rate type and conditions shown for the quote.
  • Send the required asset and amount through one order.
  • Refresh an expired quote before creating an order; once the order exists, follow its payment instructions.

WORKING CHECKLIST

Compare the complete route, not a marketing label

  • Source-wallet fee is recorded separately.
  • Quotes use the same amount, time and networks.
  • Rate type and expiry are included in the comparison.
  • The destination amount is read together with its rate and fee conditions.

FAQ

Questions about this reference

Does zero service fee mean the best exchange result?

No. A service-fee label does not describe the entire route. Compare the destination quote, any separately charged costs and the sending-wallet fee under equivalent conditions.

Why can two USDT routes have different costs?

ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20 and Solana use different blockchains, fee assets and liquidity routes.

Are exchange fees or network fees automatically reimbursed?

No. Network processing fees are not automatically reversed when an exchange fails. Orbiswap’s fee-reimbursement offer ended on 31 January 2025 and is not an active offer for new exchanges. A return of deposited funds is a separate process subject to the order’s conditions.

How can I check whether an amount is supported?

Check that the requested amount produces an available quote before creating the order. The supported amount can change with the asset, network and exchange conditions; a worked example on this page does not establish a minimum.
