This conversion keeps the USDT ticker but changes the network: it takes USDT TRC-20 on TRON and pays USDT ERC-20 on Ethereum. Changing the address in a wallet's send screen does not move tokens between these networks. Use the exchange deposit instructions for the TRON transfer.
Check that the destination accepts USDT on Ethereum before comparing costs. The TRON transfer consumes bandwidth and energy; insufficient resources can require TRX. A self-custody Ethereum wallet normally needs ETH to send the received USDT onward. Review the net output instead of assuming equal USDT input and output amounts.
