Choose a USDT network from the receiving service's deposit instructions, then match the sending route to it. ERC-20 on Ethereum, TRC-20 on TRON and BEP-20 on BNB Smart Chain have separate balances and fee systems. A USDT ticker or a valid-looking address does not establish that the destination accepts that token on that chain.

An address format cannot confirm the network
Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain both use 0x addresses. A wallet may show the same account address on both, while a custodial deposit page supports only one. Check the full network name and token identity alongside the address.

Compare the amount received and the cost of sending
A sending platform may deduct its withdrawal charge from USDT, while a self-custody wallet usually uses the chain's fee mechanism. Compare the actual deposit amount, quoted payout and sending-wallet charge. The cheapest network is irrelevant if the destination will not credit it.

Changing a network requires a supported conversion
Switching a wallet's network view only changes which chain it displays. It does not move a balance. Use a route that explicitly names the source and destination networks, then keep the deposit and payout instructions separate.
