Crypto swap pending? Check the stage before taking action

SHORT ANSWER

Start with the current stage in your existing order: awaiting deposit, confirming, exchanging or sending. Each describes a different part of the process. Compare it with the relevant blockchain transaction before acting; creating another order or sending again does not resolve the original payment.

Awaiting deposit: establish what was actually sent

A withdrawal request in a sending app is not necessarily a broadcast transaction. Look for a blockchain hash, then compare the actual network, asset, recipient and amount with this order's deposit instructions. For Monero, use the sending wallet's record or transaction-specific payment evidence for the private recipient and amount. If details do not match, use the deposit-not-detected help article and preserve the original order.

Confirming: check progress on the deposit chain

A transaction visible to the network may still be unconfirmed. Once included, further confirmations or network finality can be required before processing. Use the route's current instructions rather than a universal confirmation count or another asset's timing.

Exchanging or sending: follow the payout separately

Conversion and payout are later stages than deposit confirmation. If a payout hash is available, check its result and the transfer evidence for the destination network. Public explorers cannot verify a Monero recipient or amount; use the receiving wallet or transaction-specific payment evidence. The word sending, or a hash by itself, does not prove that funds reached the recipient.

Escalate the unresolved stage with matching evidence

For a deposit mismatch, provide the deposit hash. For a missing payout, provide the payout hash if available. Include the order ID, network, amount and a brief description of the discrepancy. If the quote expired after you sent, keep the same evidence and seek instructions before making another payment.

CONCRETE EXAMPLE

Example: a confirmed deposit with no payout hash yet

Your BTC deposit appears in a block, but the order is still confirming. One confirmation proves inclusion in the current chain; it does not establish that the route's confirmation requirement has been reached. Once the order moves to exchanging, the next question is conversion progress, followed by the separate payout transaction.

Refreshing the existing tracker checks the same order. It does not require another deposit. Keep that order while investigating any payment already sent.

Can a successful deposit transaction prove the payout is complete?+

No. It proves something about the deposit leg. The payout has its own transaction on the destination network, with its own result and recipient details.
